In this case the best option is to create a Supplier Journal Adjustment.<\/p>\n<p>A Supplier Journal Adjustment adjusts the Suppliers balance and the nominal ledger.<\/p>\n<p>To enter a Supplier Journal Adjustment,<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li>Open the Supplier Setup program and load the Supplier (Operations Menu -&gt; Purchase Ledger -&gt; Supplier Setup, then press F4 to select the Supplier )<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2056 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/10\/Supplier-setup.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"871\" height=\"541\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>From the \u2018Tools\u2019 menu select \u2018Create Supplier Journal Adjustment\u2019<\/li>\n<li>This will load the Supplier Journal Adjustment program.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1877 aligncenter colorbox-1872\" src=\"http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/step-2-1.png\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" srcset=\"http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/step-2-1.png 525w, http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/08\/step-2-1-300x246.png 300w\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Select whether the adjustment will be an invoice or a credit.<\/li>\n<li>The Supplier should be pre-loaded but can be selected using the popup<\/li>\n<li>Enter in the date for the adjustment. This is the date that will appear on the Supplier statement.<\/li>\n<li>You will need to enter in a nominal code (and analysis code if necessary) that the adjustment goes to.\n<ul>\n<li>Since the nominal ledger is double entry, one side of the adjustment will always update the Creditor Control Account<\/li>\n<li>The nominal you enter here is the nominal code for the other side of the double entry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Enter in a Reason. This will be displayed on the Supplier statement.<\/li>\n<li>Finally enter in the Net, Vat and Total amounts.<\/li>\n<li>When everything has been entered correctly click on the save icon to save the adjustment.\n<ul>\n<li>You will be asked if its OK to Save Adjustment<\/li>\n<li>You will then be given a adjustment number.
