{"id":4117,"date":"2019-01-14T16:41:18","date_gmt":"2019-01-14T16:41:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/?p=4117"},"modified":"2024-05-13T11:40:45","modified_gmt":"2024-05-13T11:40:45","slug":"changes-to-delivery-date-functions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/Clientknowledgebase\/?p=4117","title":{"rendered":"Setup Contact and Delivery Days"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>To setup customer contact and delivery days load customer setup, find a customer record, click on &#8220;<strong>Utilities<\/strong>&#8221; pulldown menu -&gt; &#8220;<strong>Setup-SOP<\/strong>&#8221; -&gt; &#8220;<strong>Setup Contact and Delivery Days<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-48599 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Capture.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"825\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Contact<\/strong> <strong>Days<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Enter tele sales operator, time to call and from the drop down list select the days to contact a customer and the corresponding delivery day the order placed during that days call will be delivered. There are two options for the delivery day.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Choose a day-<\/strong> This will mean that if the order is placed on the contact day, then the delivery date will be the chosen day up until your order cut off time.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Next Available delivery-<\/strong> This will mean that for the contact day, the delivery date will be based on the next available route\/drop setup in the system for this customer. If no routes exist, it will be calculated based on the default days ahead for delivery<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-48601 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Capture-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"661\" height=\"431\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The<strong> yellow triangle<\/strong> beside Saturday, means that there is no delivery drop setup for this day &#8211; it will still set the Saturday as the delivery date.<\/li>\n<li>Order Cut Off Times can be seen at the bottom of the screen &#8211; this is the time an order has to be placed before in order to make that days delivery run.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Setup Utilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-48602 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Capture-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"487\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">This facility will allow you to delete customer call list or using the &#8220;Default Settings&#8221; at the bottom of the window, quickly set up a call list.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cancel Operation &#8211;<\/strong> This will just cancel what you are doing, you can use this or click the red X to close the window.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delete Call List &#8211;<\/strong> This will remove all contact days currently set up for the customer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Setup Call List (NEXT day) &#8211;<\/strong> this will generate a call for each day of the week (minus SAT\/SUN) with the delivery day being set to the next day. The operator, time and call Seq. entered in the &#8220;default settings&#8221; will be used for each contact day set up.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Setup Call List (SAME day) &#8211;<\/strong> As above but the delivery day will be automatically set to the same day as the contact day.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong>Delivery Days<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Enter <strong>route<\/strong>, <strong>delivery day (from drop list)<\/strong>,<strong> drop sequence<\/strong> and if using route planner delivery window start and end.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-48603 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Capture-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"658\" height=\"427\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Setup Utilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This facility will allow you to delete the current drop set up or using the &#8220;Default Settings&#8221; at the bottom of the window, quickly set up drops for the week.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-48604 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/Capture-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"489\" height=\"461\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cancel Operation &#8211;<\/strong> This will just cancel what you are doing, you can use this or click the red X to close the window.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Delete Transport List &#8211;<\/strong> This will remove all delivery days currently set up for the customer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Setup Transport List Mon-Fri &#8211; T<\/strong>his will generate a delivery drop for each day of the week (minus SAT\/SUN).
