The vehicle set up allows you to specify the total weight and drops a vehicle can hold as well as giving you the ability to set up &#8220;messages&#8221; for the Drivers like start\/end mileage, condition of vehicle prior to departure etc.<\/p>\n<h2>Setting up the Vehicle Codes<\/h2>\n<p>This is done via <strong>Route Management. <\/strong>It can be found under the <strong>Sales Deliveries\/Production <\/strong>tab on your <strong>right hand Operations <\/strong>menu.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5273 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Untitled-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"233\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When the <strong>Route Setup<\/strong> window appears, click on <strong>Setups<\/strong> found in the top left corner and then from the drop down menu select <strong>Vehicle Setup.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5275\" src=\"http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"719\" height=\"155\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now in the blank form (press f5 on your keyboard to clear the form) enter a <strong>Code <\/strong>(will need to be unique) and then add in the remaining details for <strong>Description, Reg, Max Drops\/Weight. <\/strong>When complete <strong>Click the save button.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5274 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Capture-3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"501\" height=\"290\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Adding Messages to a Vehicle<\/h2>\n<p>To open the message set up window click the <strong>Messages<\/strong> button found at the button of your Vehicle setup window.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5277 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"498\" height=\"288\" \/><\/p>\n<p>When the messages setup window appears, click into the <strong>Code <\/strong>field and\u00a0<strong>press<\/strong> <strong>F4<\/strong> to open the vehicle search and choose the vehicle you want to set up messages for. You will need to complete a line for each question you want to be asked,<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Message Type<\/strong> \u2013 choose where in the process you want this message to appear.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Step<\/strong> \u2013 the order you want the messages to appear.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Message<\/strong> \u2013 enter the message to appear<\/li>\n<li><strong>Response<\/strong> \u2013 choose how the operator should answer the questions\n<ul>\n<li>Yes\/No \u2013 operator to respond with \u2018Yes\u2019 or \u2018No\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Info Only \u2013 message will be displayed to operator, with no response required<\/li>\n<li>Fixed List \u2013 operator can choose answer from a list of options<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Free Text<\/strong> \u2013 operator to enter text \u2013 if this option is selected, you can choose whether it is mandatory for the operator to enter a response.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mandatory<\/strong> &#8211; if this is checked, any free text entry questions can not be answered with a blank response.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-5278 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/Capture-4.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"668\" height=\"342\" \/><\/p>\n<p>** For more information on setting up <strong>Fixed Lists<\/strong> please see this <a href=\"http:\/\/vger.datos.co.uk\/ClientKnowledgebase\/?p=4974&amp;highlight=fixed+list&amp;highlight=fixed%20list\">guide.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>With the introduction of the route planner in Season 20 also came the ability to set up vehicle codes that you can then assign to your delivery routes.
