How to provide access to your device

There are now 2 ways to provide access to your computer for support staff, which are;

  1. Teamviewer
  2. Quick Assist (Free Microsoft built in tool)

To access these look for the new ‘Help’ button at the top of your screen and there will be a button for both options. when you click on both of them the program will open and as usual and for TeamViewer you can call out your ID and Password to the support engineer.

With quick assist this will open a box and it will require you to enter a code, this is what the support engineer will give you to connect on. once the engineer is connected, they will prompt you to allow control of your screen, where a pop up will appear asking for this and you will just click Allow.

This tool is for quick access and engineers will have minimum control of your screen and wont have permission to copy and paste which adds a level of security and once a session is closed they can no longer connect as the previous connection code is refreshed
