Setup Hennessey probe for terminal

Load “Setup Factory” and find terminal record Hennessey probe is connected to. In the entry titled “Import file” locate the export file produced by the Hennessey grading tool software.

Setup list of grade classifications

Load “System Defaults Setup” and click on tab page titled “Profiles”

The grading classifications received from the probe are as follows:

• S = 60% or more
• E = 55% or more  but less than 60%
• U = 50% or more but less than 55%
• R = 45% or more but less than 50%
• O = 40% or more but less than 45%
• P = Less than 40%
• * = Ungraded

Allocate grading classification to products

When processing carcasses through kill line product records will be created for each grade and the appropriate grading classification will be setup.

Within the “profiles” tab page allocate the grading classification

Season Factory

Purchase orders will be raised for pig farmers in Season Office. The purchase order will contain products for each grading classification.

Based on herd coming down the line the operator will select the appropriate purchase order for pig farmer. The suppliers slap number is appended to their name.

An order will be shown to operator listing the possible pig grades.

After the carcase has been probed and is moved along to be weighed the system will read the next available probe record to retrieve the grading classification. The grading classification will determine what product the weighing will be automatically allocated to.

In the screenshot below I have weighed three carcases. Two carcases were grade U and one carcase was grade E

When the herd has been weighed the operator will confirm the order as complete.

How do I delete a probe record if carcase drops onto the floor?

The user can view a list of probe records that have been imported into Season but have not been attached to a weighing.

Click on button titled “Probe data”

Press on button circled below to delete probe record.

How do I change probe record allocated to weighing?

To change probe record for a weighing click option to “view labels”. In this example the product is PIG GRADE U

Select weighing to change probe record.

Select probe record you wish to allocate weighing to.
