How to: Product Setup

This guide will explain the basics of setting up a Product within Season Office. You will also find links to more articles explaining some of the options within Product Setup in more detail.

Setting Up a Product

1. Click on the “Product Management” tab in the operations menu  ->  Click on the “Product Setup” option as shown below.

2. The product setup window will now be on screen. You need to start with a blank window, if there is product information showing when you open the window, press F5 on the keyboard to clear the existing product info. 

3. First you need to enter a new code into the “Product Code” field along with a description for the product.
4. You will need to assign the product to a product group. Click into the group box and press F4 to open a list of available groups. For more info on setting up new groups, Click Here.
5. The remaining information you must fill in is;
   • Qty/Wgt/Both – this will be if the product is sold by quantity, weight or a combination of both.
   • Pack Type – What pack the product usually comes in, E.G. Bag, Box etc. For more info on setting up pack types, Click Here
   • Dept – What department the product is part of. For more info on setting up departments, Click Here
6. You can now click the save button to complete the product set up.
